Description of intervention
Installation of the technological systems for the construction of the new production plant of PREGEL s.p.a. Italian company, world leader in the production of products and semi-finished products for the ice cream industry. It is present in over 130 countries on 5 continents, has 2 production plants and more than 20 branches. In particular, the production sites of Reggio Emilia, Italy and Charlotte, USA, with more than 80,000 square meters of covered surface area, make PreGel the world’s largest producer of ice-cream ingredients. The new plant in Arceto di Scandiano (RE), Italy houses the new company’s production unit.
Torreggiani &C. S.P.A. built the technological systems for the plant, in particular an air conditioning system for the automatic warehouses, consisting of a heat pump that feeds a hydronic circuit to the air-evaporators which ensures temperature uniformity in the rooms (16 constant degrees) by means of variable capacity air mixers placed under the roof, controlled by a state-of-the-art environmental variables monitoring system.
Torreggiani guarantees ordinary and extraordinary system maintenance for all plants through a Third Party Management contract, including on-call and remote management service.
